Falafel is made with chickpeas, spices, and herbs, and is perfect for pairing with salads, building wraps, or enjoying as a snack. It’s also a nutritious and delicious way to add plant-based protein and fiber to your diet.
In this version, we show you how to make homemade falafel in a simple way, using easy-to-find ingredients.
Servings: 3
Prep time: 35 minutes
Difficulty: Easy

Ingredients
1 cup cooked chickpeas (Grano Pampa)
1 garlic clove
¼ onion, chopped
2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
1 teaspoon cumin
1 teaspoon paprika
2 tablespoons flour (wheat flour or Grano Pampa chickpea flour)
2 tablespoons olive oil
Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
1. Blend the ingredients
Place the cooked chickpeas in a food processor or blender. Add the garlic, onion, parsley, cumin, paprika, flour, salt, and pepper. Blend until you get a thick, easy-to-handle mixture.
Helpful tip: If the mixture is too wet, add an extra tablespoon of flour to make shaping the falafel easier.
2. Shape the falafel
Using your hands, take small portions of the mixture and form balls or small patties.
3. Cook
Place the falafel on a baking tray drizzled with a bit of olive oil. Bake in a preheated oven at 180 °C (350 °F) for 20 minutes, or until golden brown.
4. Serve
Serve the falafel hot. You can enjoy them with salads, pita bread, or a yogurt and lemon sauce.
And that’s it! Your homemade, crispy, and flavorful falafel is ready to enjoy.
