If you're looking for an easy, delicious, and nutritious alternative to traditional burgers, these black bean burgers are the perfect choice.

They’re crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, and packed with flavor. Plus, they’re budget-friendly, simple to make, and a great way to add plant-based protein to your meals.

Perfect for building burgers, serving with salads, or freezing so you always have a quick homemade option on hand.

Servings: 4 burgers

Prep Time: 30 minutes

Difficulty: Easy

IIngredients

  • 1 cup cooked Grano Pampa black beans

  • ½ onion

  • 1 garlic clove

  • ½ carrot

  • ½ bell pepper (red or green)

  • 3 tablespoons breadcrumbs (or oats)

  • 1 egg

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

  • Salt and pepper, to taste

  • Cumin, paprika, or chili powder (optional)

Instructions

1. Prepare the mixture

In a bowl, mash the black beans, leaving some texture.

2. Add flavor

Add the chopped onion, bell pepper, carrot, and garlic, along with the egg and breadcrumbs. Season with salt, pepper, and spices to taste.

3. Shape the burgers

Mix well and form patties with your hands. If the mixture feels too wet, add a bit more breadcrumbs.

4. Cook

Heat olive oil in a pan and cook the burgers over medium heat for 4–5 minutes per side, until golden brown.

Helpful Tip: Chill the patties in the fridge for 20 minutes before cooking to help them hold their shape better.

5. Serve

Build a full burger… and you won’t miss the meat.

And that's it! Your black bean burgers are ready to enjoy.
