Ingredients
2 cups cooked Grano Pampa white beans
½ cup oats (certified gluten-free if needed)
1 small grated carrot
1 small onion, chopped
1 garlic clove, chopped
2 tablespoons Grano Pampa Lentil or Chickpea Flour
1 teaspoon paprika
½ teaspoon cumin
Salt and pepper to taste
Oil for cooking
Instructions
1. Cook the beans
If using dried beans, soak them beforehand and cook until tender.
Drain well and allow them to cool before preparing the mixture.
2. Prepare the base
Place the white beans in a large bowl.
Mash them with a fork or lightly process them, leaving some pieces for texture.
3. Add vegetables
Add the onion, garlic, and grated carrot.
Mix well until combined.
4. Add oats and flour
Add the oats and Grano Pampa flour.
Season with paprika, cumin, salt, and pepper.
Mix until the mixture can be shaped by hand.
Helpful tip: Let the mixture rest for 10 minutes so the oats absorb moisture and the patties hold their shape better.
5. Shape the patties
Divide the mixture into eight portions.
Shape each portion into a round, flat patty.
6. Cook
Heat a skillet with a little oil.
Cook the patties for 4–5 minutes per side until golden.
You can also bake them at 200°C (400°F) for about 20 minutes.
7. Serve
Serve with salads, roasted vegetables, potatoes, sandwiches, wraps, or bowls.
And that's it! Your white bean patties are ready to enjoy.
