Chickpea burgers are one of the easiest and most delicious ways to add more legumes to your daily meals.

Rich in plant-based protein and fiber, this recipe requires only a few ingredients and can be prepared ahead of time for convenient meal planning.

Servings: 6 burgers

Preparation Time: 35 minutes

Difficulty: Easy

Nutritional Information: High in Plant-Based Protein, High in Fiber, Vegan-Friendly, Budget-Friendly

Ingredients

  • 2 cups cooked chickpeas

  • ½ onion, finely chopped

  • 1 garlic clove

  • 3 tablespoons Grano Pampa Chickpea Flour

  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped

  • 1 teaspoon paprika

  • Salt and pepper to taste

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

Instructions

1. Prepare the ingredients

Drain the cooked chickpeas thoroughly and remove any excess moisture.

Finely chop the onion, garlic, and parsley.

2. Process the mixture

Add the chickpeas, onion, garlic, parsley, paprika, salt, and pepper to a food processor.

Pulse until combined but still slightly textured.

Helpful tip: Avoid over-processing. A slightly rustic texture creates more flavorful burgers.

3. Add the flour

Mix in the Grano Pampa Chickpea Flour until fully incorporated.

This will help bind the mixture and improve the texture.

4. Shape the burgers

Divide the mixture into six equal portions.

Shape each portion into a burger patty.

5. Chill

Refrigerate for 20 minutes.

This helps the burgers firm up before cooking.

6. Cook

Cook in a lightly oiled skillet or bake at 200°C (400°F).

Cook for 4–5 minutes per side until golden brown.

7. Serve

Serve in a burger bun with fresh vegetables or alongside salads and roasted vegetables.

And that's it! Your homemade chickpea burgers are ready to enjoy.
